In the name of progress
The San Antonio Municipal Auditorium was being torn down to make way for its replacement. Or least part of it was being torn down: it looked like the old main entrance was going to be reused. At any rate, there was a lot going on the construction site, except for our Sunday-morning visit, when wall was quiet.

Chain-link fencing has become a global universal, it shows up in photos from everywhere. I think for that reason alone it deserves more attention, but I usually try to keep it out of my pictures. Probably because it is hard to make a good photo out of it.

I usually try to not get it in my shots, too. Now that I think about it, I think I need to get a new lens – one that’s small enough to poke through the fence grid. I should take a piece of chain-link to the camera store to test out the lenses. That would make for an entertaining few minutes (because I think I’d be asked to leave in pretty short order).
