Two lights

083014

This is one of those design ideas that might have looked really good on paper, but which didn’t really work out that well when the building was finished.

The lower level of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (where no one goes, mostly) has some broad pedestrian walkways that lead…well, they sort of don’t lead anywhere. But they don’t mind if you take their portrait.

And those two little lights work hard to light the way, in case someone happens to walk by.

  1. Love the texture and light on that back wall. The composition also works (for me) without the tile in the foreground.

  2. Brrrr, this shot makes me want to go put a sweater on. I agree with Linda’s suggestion. Also, it might work well with a looming shadow coming around the wall. I wonder if a Patient Spouse could provide one for you, or is the lighting never cooperative at this location?

  3. The light on that far wall just as it disappears out of sight round the bend is superb – it makes the picture. Nice work, Melinda
