So much in so little

We were in a bakery, because it’s so important to support local businesses as much as possible. And also, cookies were involved.
Anyway, I looked out the window and spotted this wall on the building next door. Suddenly cookies didn’t seem that important.
For just a short stretch of wall, this one has a lot going on. In a good way.

Great composition, textures and shapes. This scene would have also demanded my attention!

I literally left my husband at the bakery counter and walked out the door to get the shot. Fortunately he’s used to my odd ways…and he was nice enough to buy me a cookie (since that was the point of the bakery visit).

Very nice with or without a cookie.

How could I miss the chance to say, “The cookie was icing on the cake!” Sorry but I couldn’t resist.

Its an interesting image, it makes me want to know more about the building and what the circles in the brick are from.

Sometimes I can figure out seemingly random marks on buildings; this was not one of those times, though, and the circles remain a mystery!

Give the choice of which was going to disappear first, I think I might have made sure of the cookie first and then tackled the wall which would probably last a few more years in its present form LOL! I’m joking of course – images like this are serious fodder to some of us, me included, and this so simple, on one level, and yet compositionally it is profound.

You make an excellent point re. the cookies. I guess it means I’ve gone all in on this photography deal!
