The well-lit arrow
As it turned out, Sunday morning was a great time to be making photos on SW 6th Avenue (the old Route 66): the stores didn’t open until noon (if they opened at all), so it was just me and the Patient Spouse, some interesting lighting, and a bird.

Can’t figure out why, but the bird makes this photo for me.

Me, too, Linda! I literally held my breath when I made the shot (because of course that’s how photographers keep birds from flying away too soon).
