It took my breath away last night when I learned about Leonard Cohen; I’d been listening to his newest album for a week or so, especially to the title track, “You Want it Darker.”

Is that wall in the foreground designed to keep you in, or to keep the criminals out? Looks pretty grim to me.

It’s actually a little less bleak than it looks – it’s a retaining wall between a parking lot and an drainage channel, so we’ll hope it doesn’t have anything to do with criminals…
