It turns out that several small towns around here do this, according to comments on Facebook. Also, one of my FB friends who lives in a little town in New Mexico said their local radio station runs death announcements. Who knew?!

It must be a tiny community for that to mean anything to the listeners. The world is an amazing place! I love the way your photos shed light on details we wouldn’t have any chance of exploring in other ways.
