Jesus. And a devil. (Maybe.)
If this trash container hadn’t been parked on the corner of a church parking lot, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the juxtaposition of the “Jesus” and the devilish look on the graffiti-face. As they say, “Location, location, location.”

After hours
My Patient Spouse was driving along the old Route 66 in Amarillo the other morning, and I was looking for something interesting to photograph. It wasn’t a surprise to him – and won’t be to you, either – that the very first thing that caught my attention was a window to look through.
The difference here is that this place is still in operation, which puts it apart from the usual shots. Look at me, pushing the limits!

Now, if you’ve been reading along the past couple of days about the spray paint extravaganza that is the Cadillac Ranch, you might have a picture in your mind of the kind of folks who go out there to paint up some old cars. Art school students, maybe. Or tourists. Or disenfranchised youth. Or whatever.
But I’d be surprised if that image in your mind included this guy, in his western jeans and cowboy hat, who’d clearly come prepared for a long and colorful day of painting.
