On High Street

One of these was taken on High Street; the other one, high street. You can probably figure out which is which.

More parking

You may recall that I’ve mentioned (endlessly) how much I enjoy taking photos in alleys.

But I also like underground parking garages, like this one under the Hilton Hotel in downtown Austin.

Careful, though, if you’re wanting to use that door: that first step is sort of formidable.

Just because it looks like graffiti

070213

As a general rule, I would say that anytime you see something that looks like it’s graffiti, but that includes a Twitter hashtag and what looks like a copyright symbol, you may be dealing with something else entirely.

Like this, which is actually an advertisement for a place where you could play ping-pong by day and listen to live music by night.

I don’t know…something seems horribly wrong here.

Still gone…still internet-less. Got a comment? Please leave it, and I will reply when I am back. That’ll be July 7, if you are keeping score at home.

Get lucky

When you have a hankering to visit the Lucky Lounge, the parking lot’s just to the east of the place, which describes itself as unique and diverse.

(Although, judging from the photos on the site, the “diversity” consists of 4 musicians, and 18 young women, all of whom look like they’ve been legally able to drink for, say, 15 or 20 minutes.  But who am I to judge?)
