Fleur-de-lis
The fleur-de-lis has a long history that spans religious, political, artistic, and other symbols. Of course, it’s also used as a decorative element in headboards, as seen here.
I think the fleur-de-lis designs really class up this scene, in a roofless building in a tiny Texas town. And not only that, they seem to be providing some sort of building-security function at the same time. Way to go, fleurs!
(Also: WordPress is pretty sure I meant to type “flour-de-lis,” which just shows what they know.)
