The Way
Maybe you remember that I took a photography class from Keith Carter back in the summer?
In class he said, “Don’t take pictures of churches.”
In class he said, “Don’t take pictures of cemeteries.”
In class he said, “There are no rules.”
Maybe what he meant to say is that he doesn’t take pictures of churches. Or cemeteries. And that each of us must seek our own way, and photograph accordingly.

Where we came from
On that recent off-the-Interstate trip to Colorado, we ended up on some gravel roads, which was part of the fun of the trip. As I was driving on this one, I could see the crest of the road ahead and just knew I’d stop there for a few (dozen) photographs.
As you can see, there was a break in traffic ( ! ) and I was able to stand in the middle of the road to get this shot. Try doing THAT on an Interstate!

And the wind, yes the wind
It’s been a while, I think, since I posted a sort-of-random song to go with the day’s photo. So, here’s the Head and the Heart, with their song “Shake.”

Pergola
From that first part of the trail, under the pergola, everything looked the same…
