The road to nowhere
The streets are wide enough so trucks have an easy time backing up, and pulling away from, loading docks.
It makes me think of the Talking Heads:
Maybe you wonder where you are
I don’t care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there…take you thereWe’re on a road to nowhere

Great contrast between the flat and straight road and the turbulent uneven sky above. The sky looks like a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream …so now I am going to make myself one (hot cocoa-whipped cream).

That’s an excellent idea about the hot chocolate! (heading toward the kitchen right now….)

all roads lead to nowhere… one way or another… nice photo!

Yes, they do. Only often we don’t know that until we’ve traveled a long way!

Seldom do tire marks enhance an environment but in this case they do.

The tire tracks were the second thing I noticed – after that wide concrete street.

Nice shot. You’ve been in a sepia kind of mood recently.

It’s getting weird around here: tomorrow’s post is going to be in COLOR!

It seems that this road leads to the kitchen, and hot chocolate.
I like the tire tracks too, they tell a story. But it looks a bit like they have rubbed some patina off an unused surface rather than being a rubber overlay. Which fits with the shot, and your blog in general. That sky is to die for.

I am definitely going to call my next blog Patina Off An Unused Surface.

Sounds interesting, but a pretty long name. Patina would probably do the trick.

Or, maybe I could suggest “Patina” as a name for the granddaughter who’s on the way….

I was surprised to find this street, and to see how extremely wide it is…..
