The apparatus
This thing. I saw this thing in Dougherty. I just think of it as the apparatus. Maybe someone can tell me what it is, because I don’t have any idea. Something to do, maybe, with what ever goes on at a grain elevator?
If you want to check it out for yourself, it’s easy to find: it’s the only apparatus of this sort in town.

Not headed to Doughtery anytime soon, it depends on what it’s hooked to, but looks like a device for filling/loading trucks or railcars.

I think it was used for filling trucks – I don’t think it was on a rail line.

If that’s what it is, I don’t want to meet the REST of it!

It probably had a grain silo attached to it at one time. It’s how they got the grain from the silo into the truck.

Yes, I imagine that’s what it was for.
