It’s hard to get into Home Ec
Well, I guess what I meant is that it’s hard to get into the home ec room, with those knife-blades of broken glass guarding the windows. But even with that security feature, I have the idea that perhaps a few folks have made it inside.

I like the broken bits in the shot – here is another reason why I wear my Kevlar…to drape over (or pivot over) broken windows – which makes for another way inside 🙂

Put it out there and see…FYI the Flak version (used for fragmentation protection inside an APC) – is less expensive than a full bullet proof version – in case Santa is counting his cash 🙂

I like the idea of you in Kevlar Melinda. Around here Kevlar is used mostly on sailboats, the racing variety, for sails. Maybe that is all you need, a bit of worn out sail cloth?
If my experience with Home Ec is anything to go by, then I think this window was probably broken by someone that was frantic to get out. I hope they weren’t cut up too badly as they would be the sensible ones that the gene pool needs to keep around.

I guess a piece of old sail cloth might work. We can look around for some, the next time I’m in town.
If I’d had to take Home Ec, I am positive that I’d have been breaking windows to get out!

If they taught things like how to cook cactus and snakes in Home Ec I might have been more interested, but pre-mixed cakes out of a box, and TV dinners? I am so glad my mother is a good cook…

You know what would be good for lunch? A snake-and-cactus sandwich! Of course, it would be hard to decide on the shape of the bread – long, to accommodate the snake, or roundish, for the cactus. Maybe if I had taken home ec I’d know how to resolve this problem…

You would not have needed to think about it had you taken Home Ec – the snake and the cactus would have come out of a can and had the identical shape. You would need a round bun, so you could slice the cylinder of snake and the cylinder of cactus in nice discs and pile them into a sandwich, with too much ketchup and mustard for flavour.

This is Home Ec gone bad. You would have to drink a lot of cocktails (badly mixed ones) to load up a plate of this stuff.
