Light, where once was darkness
A couple of years ago my friend Ehpem and I spent some time photographing an abandoned house. I was happy to see the way the light from the window bounced around inside of the cabinet; lucky for me that the sink was gone!

You worked this one up really nicely, and framed it so well too. None of mine for this corner do the light justice like this and I went for detail, not context. Big mistake on my part 🙂
Thanks for posting this, it caused me to look at the images from that trip again, and there are pictures I took at the time that I did not process at all, which now I think are among the best that I took. Funny how vision and interest changes with time.

I’ve fought this image ever since I got back from our trip – I was trying to make it b&w, and it finally occurred to me that it had to be in color. I’m glad you like it
But other than that, you’re right – I can nearly always find something interesting in old images that I overlooked at the time.

The light through those slits is just so good. I never even noticed it. None of my pictures show that off at all. Maybe my eyes are just at the wrong elevation 😉

In color ? Rectangles! Looks like a kitchen I helped a friend start redoing. Couldn’t get my framing hammer to take a pic. Not because it ever dawned on me to take one. I never not do that ! Lol

I don’t know – it sure seems like framing hammers ought to come with cameras. Or the other way around.
