A day made for fishing
The way the grandpa’s head is tilted, like he’s trying to both see and hear the little boy, hits me in a way that I cannot explain.

There was a plaque by the statue and I tried to find out about who those people were. The only thing I could tell is that the man is an attorney in New Orleans. Nothing about his love of fishing, that (presumed) grandchild, or anything. But that means we can fill in the rest however we want…

Maybe not knowing more makes the statue all that much more universal.
