Along State Highway 18, where it intersects Farm Road 1219, is a tiny town called Royalty.

Maybe it was hit by a tornado. Or maybe it was hit by bad luck. At any rate, the 2000 census listed the population as 0 and the 2010 census failed to offer an opinion on the matter.

I have no idea where this was taken, other than “somewhere north-ish of Dallas.” But since it was taken in 2008, I am fairly confident that it is now the location of some sort of shopping center or housing development. And surely there’s a Starbucks nearby. That’s the way it goes, when you are north-ish of Dallas.
