So, this happened: the hard drive on my laptop crashed.
But before that, this happened: my Time Capsule had also crashed and because I am just the tiniest bit paranoid, I replaced it right away.
But before THAT, this happened: I purchased Apple Care for my laptop.
So nothing was lost and the new hard drive was replaced free.
But: the laptop is still working on restoring itself and I want to get this blog posted and get on with things.
So, here’s something different from my usual posts. This was shot with my iPhone, and edited with a couple of apps – Dramatic B&W and PicFX.

Old Route 66 is the spine of town, traversing the length from east to west. Along the way, in addition to Bobby’s Trading Post (above), you can see a graffiti swimming pool, a dark and vacant highway, this abandoned liquor store, and a vacant gas station.
