Fenced in. Or out.

061913

I like this fence.  I like it lot.

My favorite part is that it’s not regular chain link. It’s a series of Ms, or Vs, or Ws – depending on where you start. I’m no fence historian, but I think that means this is old.

My other favorite part is that it’s not that effective – standing wide open and all – but that it takes it job seriously enough to keep doing it.

There are a lot of questions here.

In contrast to yesterday’s post, at least this signage is legible. But that doesn’t necessarily make it understandable.

Am I right?

I have no idea

There is a lot of information on the front of this place. Unfortunately, I have no idea what any of it says.

All I can say with any certainity is that it is roughly halfway between here and here but all the way across town from here.

White on white, 3

The front entrance to Carmen’s Restaurant. The side of the building was previously featured here.

It’s also the third entry in the White on White series. You can find the first two here and here.

Marfa: the men’s cafe

021713

Of course this place is really called Carmen’s Cafe. But the shot was more interesting with the c-a-r gone.

It also was less interesting in black and white, more interesting in color, and most interesting in this sort of faded look.

Do you worry that I am losing my edge with the non-stop black and white? After all it was only one week ago that I posted another color shot. Both of them were taken in Marfa – maybe Marfa is making me do it….
