Not at all helpful, 1
Regular readers will know that I never write about any of the technical aspects of my images. But I am making a rare exception on this shot. I took this in January, and liked it a lot. But the sky was noisy and my efforts to remedy it were unsuccessful. I tried more than once, because I am stubborn like that. And because I didn’t want to have to give up on this one.
Then, the other night, I gave Topaz DeNoise 5 a chance to show its stuff – and my noisy sky was all better.
But enough of that. How about all the extremely helpful information on this sign? Who needs a map or a smartphone or a navigator (person or computer) when there is this kind of roadside information?

This is easy. It says “I’m next eon I Restaurant”. Your welcome.

OK. I stand corrected: that sign IS informative.
I’ll be interested to see what you make of the sign in tomorrow’s post….

Certainly worth the effort, it’s great. I really like the composition and the sign(s).

I forgot to mention that I use this Topaz plug-in and it has saved my bacon a few times. Nice shot, too.

I like it so much that I’m going to buy it when the trial period’s up!

As always your Eye is powered up, Melinda. I’m a great fan of DeNoise too. And some of the other plug-ins from Topaz are well worth exploring too.

Thanks, Andy. This is (so far) the only time I’ve used DeNoise, but I can tell it’s going to be useful. I’ve also tried Topaz’s B&W Effects.

Hi Melinda. This sign says “Study my words so hard you never notice the piles of gravel”
But really, it was for one of your Motels, the ones with a pool and restaurant located 1 mile ahead, on the left; in other words at the next exit.

That all makes good sense, about the pool and restaurant and all. Except that this sign is along a two-lane road and there aren’t any actual exits anywhere close by. And one mile ahead is just open desert.

Somehow it seems totally appropriate that my suggestion is not all that helpful.

Indeed it does. But I appreciate it anyway!
