Call Brady
My mom listened to KFYO radio every day. (Even the noon farm report, for some reason.)
I can remember the radio commercials that this plumbing company ran, with their “Lady, call Brady” tagline. I am guessing that from the looks of the place these days, any lady who DID call Brady would probably not get an answer…

I guess “Lady, call Brady” is a better tag line then “Brady is shady”. Still, it makes a nice photo.

There’s just not that many words that rhyme with Brady (I looked it up: I am dorky enough to own a rhyming dictionary).

Nice picture – I like the Brady’s shady front.
Even French lady Yelpeurs are out of luck with Brady:

See, you didn’t even know that large portions of Lubbock were French-speaking, did you? We’re often called the France of Texas!
You should try to get down here sometimes for our huge Bastille Day celebrations!

Will I be able to photograph Lady Yelpeurs if I visit?

Oui. Bien sûr.

Not that I don’t trust you or anything, but I had to look up whether you really did give two hoots about Bastille Day in TX. That quick search landed me on Rumbullion. Turns out I like their music http://www.rumbullion.com/music.html. And an accordian gives way more than two hoots, so I am satisfied you weren’t pulling my leg, or otherwise joking around (this time).

I’d never heard of Rumbullion – but note that they hang out in Austin, so maybe I can catch a show sometimes when I am down there.
I have to confess that there is a very slight chance I was, in fact, making up the whole Bastille Day thing. Let’s just chalk it up to fiction-writing withdrawals, now that National Novel Writing Month is over, OK?

It’s nearly the dreaded Comic Sans font, isn’t it?!
