One Broken Window
At first I thought this little drive-in was still in business, but that broken window indicated the opposite. (Another hint, to be honest, was the complete lack of kitchen equipment inside. I’m a pretty good detective.)

Seems to be going on forever
I didn’t stay here long – that haze in the background is a dust storm that was approaching quickly.
All of this seems like it’s forever – the crossroads, the deserted buildings, the spring dust.

Watkins
The only thing I could find out about this place, which appears to have been a department store, was that the corporate entity was filed on Saturday, March 21, 1914, with the Texas Secretary of State.
Nothing even mentioned that great, curvy sign. Or the mosaic wall, or the reflection of a street-light-based poinsettia.
