Car Culture, two examples

Over there on the right side is a drive-in bank. Those are ubiquitous.

What caught my attention was the drive-through window at the mattress store. I am still trying to figure out the logistics of that.

But until I do, I guess I’ll just see this as an illustration of the car culture around here: why walk if you can drive. And why just drive if you can drive through?

  1. I’m with you. Does the drive through mattress store typically cater to late-night stoners who pull up?

Jeff Spicoli: “I’ll take a queen-size mattress, and a set of sheets, man”
Drive Through Mattress Clerk: “Want to add a box spring to that, make it a combo?”
Spicoli (after counting his change): “Naw, man. Righteous bucks!”
