Solemn, lives changed in so many ways.

The mayor of Levelland was one of the owners of this liquor store. Naturally he was very vocal in his opposition to the liquor-sales election, citing declining morals and etc. in town if the elation passed. Then of course, he relocated the store to Levelland, so I guess he figured he could cash in on the moral decay. Oh, and he lost his mayoral reelection bid (the next year, I think). Ah, the drama of small towns!
