What “out of business” looks like
When the voters in Levelland approved alcohol sales in the city limits, this out-on-the-highway liquor store lost its reason for existence.

The mayor of Levelland was one of the owners of this liquor store. Naturally he was very vocal in his opposition to the liquor-sales election, citing declining morals and etc. in town if the elation passed. Then of course, he relocated the store to Levelland, so I guess he figured he could cash in on the moral decay. Oh, and he lost his mayoral reelection bid (the next year, I think). Ah, the drama of small towns!
