Intersection

082216

I really do like brick streets: they have more character than asphalt paving. Also, they provide some helpful leading lines in this shot of yet another abandoned gas station.

(Don’t worry if you’re driving through Olney and are low on fuel: there’s a Shell station over on the main road.)

The Window Weeps

The window looks like it’s weeping – and it may be. Who are we to say otherwise?

The chair outreach was particularly successful

Those chairs! What a great group of seating choices. From the looks of the porch, I am going to assume that the Zion Community Outreach outreaches to furniture, with a particular emphasis on chairs.

(And also: it reminded me of these Canadian chairs.)

Love + Peace (a seasonal message)

081916

When I made this image, it was early enough in January that the Christmas messages of love and peace were still in the church window.

They’re probably gone by now.

The morning alibi

081816

Philosophically, I think taking early-morning photos of a place that’s famous for what goes on at night is similar to my usual routine of going around back.

Anyway, how fortunate was this find – the sidewalk outside a place called The Alibi getting cleaned of…whatever happened the night before?
