Here’s the thing: I didn’t really get into all the gold and crystal chandeliers and etc. at Versailles; all of it just made me think, “Really? Why?”
But this? I liked this.

My wife likes period pieces. And as I sit and watch the recreated splendor and parties the aristocrats engage in, I can’t help but think… “This. This is why the people revolted.”
