Tornado – 1 long

The interior of what used to be the fire station. I am extremely fond of the reminder, painted on the wall, of what siren to blow if there’s a tornado coming. I guess it times of immediate danger, it might be hard to remember one long…

  1. That reminds me of my first job as telephone operator in a small Canadian town. We sounded the siren at 6pm each day, as well as for fires. I made a big boo-boo one day, missed the 6pm siren and sounded it a few moments late. I got into trouble, as no one knew if it really was a signal of a fire or not.
