My once-concrete rule to never photograph people seems to be on shaky ground…
I spotted this woman in a photography gallery at the Art Institute and took what I thought was a test shot, to set up the one that I really wanted, on another wall of the gallery. But then her friend showed up, and they left before she made it that far.
But I tried.

I’m funny about taking pics of people too … but they often bring the image to life

I am shooting now with a much smaller camera than what I’d used for a long time, and it makes it easier to get away with photographing people – even though it’s still a hard thing to make myself do!
