anniversary: 54 years
Exactly 54 years before the day I made this photos of storm clouds over north Lubbock, a deadly tornado struck almost this same part of town.
People who lived here then still refer to it simply as “May 11” and the rest is understood.

That is a date I’ll never forget. I was right down town when the tornado hit. I still have nightmares of it.
