I don’t know where kids in Bula go to school now, or even if there are kids in Bula anymore.

The Bula School was operational from 1925 through 1975, so those things in the cabinet of what appears to be the home economics room (to use an outdated term!) have been there for nearly forty years.

Bula is listed as a “populated place” on hometownlocater.com, which I presume is someplace smaller than a town. No exact population is listed, but you may find it helpful to know that the elevation is 3,793 feet.

The town of Mineral Wells, Texas, was briefly famous for the healing properties of the local mineral water. Folks came to “take the water” and many of them stayed at the grand Baker Hotel.
The old place has seen better days.
