For various reasons, I’ve been in a bit of shooting slump since, well, the first part of December. I’m trying to pull myself out of it, and one thing I did was to take advantage of a very warm February Saturday and go around back at a local shopping center.

I don’t know that I’m out of the slump quite yet, but I did see loading docks…

The Trinity

Corkscrew and a bird

Usually, cotton gins aren’t right there in the middle of town. But this one is. Who knows why.

But anyway, the auger makes an interesting, undulating corkscrew-shadow on the corrugated metal walls, while one bird looks on. (Trust me on this: there were a lot more birds. It was somewhere approaching horror-movie levels of birds. Good thing for me they are camera shy.)
