I’m guessing the reclamation isn’t complete
The other side of this building, which has that nice banner announcing Reclaim Colorado City. Good that the city’s started the effort, but there’s still a ways to go.
But, to be slightly selfish for a minute, I don’t mind the disrepair one bit: it makes for much more interesting photographs.

Maybe the banner should have a ‘please’ in front: Please Reclaim Colorado City. BTW great fire escape.

Being polite is always a good idea!
I like fire escapes, and you’re right – this is a good one!

Looks like the claim ticket is lost and this is going to be left unclaimed.

Good observation! And correct, too, I expect.

Well, it looks like the trash and the junk cars are gone, so, that’s a start.

It took me a LONG time to push the junked cars out of the way so I could take the picture.

I like how the street is white. And the sidewalk. And the plywood is nice next to the sidewalk. But the rest looks very dirty. I don’t think you will be getting any offers from their tourism board to take brochure pictures. Which is probably a relief.

I might get some offers from the tourism board, but they’d probably be more along the line of offers to never come back to Colorado City!
