This took a while

It’s a big, old, leaky building. It’s full of old cars and trucks, broken (I assume) appliances, and piles and piles of clothes. This particular pile has been there so long that the coat hanger has started to rust, leaving a hanger-shaped stain on the shirt. In a rainy climate this wouldn’t take long – but Spur gets only about 23 inches of rain per year (less, lately: we’re in a drought). So, it’s been a while since that pile of shirts landed on the floor.

    • I hope your closet looks better than this!! (My husband has the world’s most organized closet, so by comparison, mine look bad. But not this bad!)

      • Melinda, I guess there is only one way out. Your husband and my wife should arrange a kind of workshop for us where finally learn to get a proper closet. 😀
I’m impressed by this ‘lost place’ where you took the photos. Wow. I couldn’t imagine such a kind of place in my area… …okay, except my closet! 🙂

      • There’s a very good chance that, even with workshops I cannot be reformed…

Excellent trick I once played on my husband: he has exactly the number of hangers as he has shirts. I put one extra hanger in the closet, and he thought he’d lost a shirt. I let it go on for several weeks before I finally told him!

This “lost” place is stuffed full of things like this, but I don’t know if it’s the detritus of one person/family, or the town’s informal, indoor dump. If I ever find out, I’ll let you know!

      • …uhh, what a great trick you played. 😀 But it wouldn’t work with my wife. She would just tell me “Darling, I’ll be back in an hour… …I just go to the mall and buy myself a new dress because I found some new space in my closet. Isn’t it great, huh?”
