No one swims
Singer/songwriter James McMurtry’s song “We Can’t Make It Here Anymore” sums it all up:
In Dayton Ohio or Portland Maine
Or a cotton gin out on the great high plains
That’s done closed down along with the school
And the hospital and the swimming pool
Spur, Texas

Great Image, clicked through to the James McMurtry song (I’d not heard of him before) really liked it, although I’m a sucker for the sound of a 12 string. 🙂

He wrote that song about 10 years ago; sorry to say the only changes since then have been for the worse!

I guess (at the moment) we are a bit sheltered in the UK from some of the harsh realities of life with our health & social services, but sadly I’m not sure for how much longer.
