God’s Robes

I can get distracted thinking about what goes on behind the scenes, for Mass, for dinner, for a car repair. It doesn’t really matter what it is, I just always wonder about the how of it all.

So I was pretty happy to discover God’s robes in a small room off the sanctuary of this Nova Scotian church.

  1. Their reflection in the mirror is very cool.

  2. Oooooh. Love the creamy look of those robes, and their reflection in the mirror is a perfect touch. And so are the stairway and the paneling, and the imperfect wall. And the angle at which you shot. (Have I left out anything?)

  3. Nice shot, great attention to detail!

I like the fact that there IS a mirror for the priest to look in while changing. Surely this tempts vanity and would not be allowed by some christian denominations.
