It takes years to create a work of art like that.

Someone’s been busy – that car in the foreground is just a frame now. In fact, there’s a suitcase in the engine compartment, which I guess is part of the Art of it all!

Maybe even decades .

There’s no telling how long that stuff has been there, but it’s at least four years: http://bit.ly/2holiqV. (Things don’t move very fast around here.)

I like how they thought to artfully arrange a background of rectangles. They must have known you and camera were on the way.

Actually, this is what happened. I used the bag that my Photographer’s Inflatable Boulders™ came in, carefully creased it into rectangles, and hung it from the building. Easy!

You have the world’s most versatile camera bag!

And you know what? There are features I haven’t even told you about. Yet.

I just looked at the map link you provided in a comment. I would be shooting (in colour) the street side of the building behind you when taking this picture. Reliable Car Service. If it was still orange and blue anyway.

I actually did shoot the Reliable Car Service that day (but not in color). None of the photos turned out to be worth posting. I need to go back one of these days. (BTW, I used to work only a half block away from the Reliable Car Service and it’s had that color scheme for decades.)

It’s a good colour scheme. Do you think the car was reliably serviced, sometime in the past, with a suitcase transplant? Or is it the place next door attempting, apparently unsuccessfully, cross-species insertions?

Anything’s possible in downtown Lubbock! Except, obviously, building renovations.

It seems kind of sick to me. Suitcase transplant – almost certainly done without informed consent from the car.

Oh yeah, there’s no way a car would consent to that. Suitcases need to learn that NO MEANS NO.

Mechanics of an experimental bent should perhaps learn it as well. As should bent mechanics experimenting.
