The higher the hair…

“The higher the hair, the closer to God.” That’s what we say in Texas.

If it’s as true in California as it is in Texas, then this place was practically like going to church.

  1. Sitting on an altar of hairspray. Seems appropriate.

  3. Wow! Great photo and great subject. Can you actually buy these wigs? They are amazing!

    • Yes! The wig store had, in addition to these, some normal looking ones and a whole shelf of men’s wigs. And a sign that said “no photography” for customers. It might be fun to have one of these wigs to wear at random places. Like at work, on the day I have my performance review with my boss…

      • YES! How brilliant would that be??? And then to pretend there was absolutely nothing unusual about your hair!

I think in terms of photobooth photos (what a surprise!) and it would be amazing to get some pics of me or frankly, anyone, wearing one of those pieces in a strip.

      • Oh, you’re a woman after my own heart! That would just be hysterical to wear that pompadour wig (which was some kind of a color between pink and red) into my boss’s office, with a straight face. I’m laughing just thinking about it.

I’m not sure some of those wigs would fit into a photobooth!!

      • The trouble for me is that I wouldn’t be able to keep a straight face! And yes, the possibility of a photobooth being too small for these numbers is definitely there. 😊😊😊

      • I couldn’t keep a straight face either, as I have a very strong tendency to crack myself up. (Let’s ignore, if you don’t mind, all the times I’m the ONLY one laughing at my jokes.)
