There are many here among us

Our photography class from the Los Angeles Center for Photography went on a field trip to Union Station. That’s where I found this scene, of stairs and ramps leading to the train platform.

This shot and this one are thematically related. At least to me. And I may not be really all that reliable.

the blur of the past was upon us

Last year, an old house next to my office was being torn down. I got to go inside for a look around. Mostly, it looked like this.

The few clothes hanging in the closet were what got to me. They were so personal, and so alone.

This old, sad backstop was in what appeared to have been a schoolyard. It had clearly been more than a few seasons since it had seen any action.
