Cloud Gate, 1

Miss Hannah Harvey was inspired by the open framework of the Pritzker Pavilion, and sat on a ledge to work on a dress design* and was completely unaware of the famous Cloud Gate sculpture right behind her. Art, as of course you know, just HAS to come before sightseeing.

  1. After clicking your ‘cloud gate’ link, I see it is very cool! I think this pic would be better in color.

  2. Welcome to my home town. It’s always interesting for me to see how visitors photograph what I see on a regular basis. You didn’t let me down … monochrome good choice, it really pulls out the story telling. Enjoy your visit and hope we’re nice to you that you want to come back.

    • Frank – We very much enjoyed our visit, and do plan to come back! This was my third time in Chicago, but the first time I wasn’t there for a conference. It’s a lot more fun this way than the I-have-to-be-in-sessions-all-day trips.

I hope you enjoy the rest of my Chicago photos. Before I come back, I’ll get you to tell me some cool local stuff that I missed this time!
