Reports are the boiler room is haunted
I promised I wouldn’t use their names, but a couple of people who grew up here in Bledsoe told me the local consensus is that the boiler room at this abandoned school is haunted. And so is the school itself, apparently. And the very street in front of the school.
This friendly and informative pair wandered over from across the street to find out what I was doing. They were happy to tell me lots of stories about growing up in this town, and all the ghosts, and so forth. Both of them live in the next county, in a larger town, and spend their weekends here in Bledsoe. “I love being in the country,” one of them said.

No ghostly figures showed up in the photos, to my disappointment…
