those eyes

This is the fabulous Miss Hannah Harvey, who rarely misses an opportunity to pose for a camera.

She’s smart and hilarious and a smart-ass and kind and loves big. And also: look at those blue eyes.*

* Her blue eyes are the reason this photo is in color. In case you wondered.

the finest hat

I saw this well-dressed person at the art trail the other night; they were in line at a food truck and I sure didn’t want to delay their dinner by getting a photograph.

Then, a half-hour or so later – there they were again. And this time, the background was a perfect match for the excellent outfit.

And you know what happened next.

the pensive man

You may remember an earlier photograph of a street-side mechanic? This is the man whose hands you saw in that other image. In case you wondered.

We were in his vicinity for several hours and that motorcycle never seemed to become operational while we were there; his face tells the same story.

heading home

This family had completed their shopping at the courthouse square farmers’ market and were heading home. Eventually. It took a minute to get organized; that one kid on the right sort of had some other plans in mind.

a portal in portales

I had to run a little errand over to New Mexico the other day, so naturally I took my camera with me. And look what I found! Yet another photograph-worthy window reflection. (It’s sort of like an obsession, really.) An observant pedestrian stopped while I made the image, but she looked extremely confused about what was going on, which is not all that shocking, if I’m being honest. Normal people probably really don’t stand a few feet from a building and take a photo of it when there’s a whole world going on just across the street!
