I am led to believe that “normal” people would just drive right by this place and not even stop.

I’m glad I do not qualify as “normal.”

(But to be fair, normal people make a three hour trip in, you know, three hours. If you know what I mean.)

I mean, sure – the museum did have some very good exhibits the other day.

But it also had a door that was left open and a photographer who will always try to see the behind-the-scene scenes.

I came home the other night and the evening light was right there on those clothespins. I hurried inside to get the camera…

Also, if I’m being honest, I’d never paid the tiniest bit of attention to that clothesline before. I have a tattoo on my wrist that says, “Take time to see.” yet I failed (repeatedly) to take my own damn advice. Seriously. This is embarrassing.

a spiral of ivy

It was hot that day. And for days and days before. And for days and days after. But that ivy was tenacious and continued to spiral its way up the metal grates.

I am not tenacious. So I got back in the car, cranked down the AC, and continued on my way.
