My (current) favorite town

Here’s another shot of this building.

It’s also the same place where I found some rectangles, a slightly disturbing sign, #4 in the White on White series, and a steam laundry.

Colorado City: my favorite town.

  2. Aren’t these old deserted buildings fascinating? Sometimes very eerie as well, which this one sort of appears here. How did you feel when you were inside?

    • I didn’t go inside – the windows were all broken out and I was able to shoot from the sidewalk. But even so, it felt a little creepy, and there were a couple of pigeons that startled me. Old cotton gins are the creepiest places to me; they usually have about a million pigeons (rough estimate; could be a little inflated), and since the wind’s nearly always blowing there are lots of noises from loose metal siding and things.

  3. Wonderful stains on the walls and ceiling! I like how the ceiling tiles almost look like mirrors, or glass.
