Fast Pancake

081716

This was the 41st year of the Pancakes on the Plaza in Santa Fe; I am not sure how many pancakes were served that day, but “a whole lot” seems to be a modest estimate.

You know how I like to go around back to see what I can photograph? Turns out, a pancake breakfast offers some good “around back” opportunities. Like this speedy pancake cook and her assistant.

A room in what used to be a Carmelite monastary.

Lately I’ve been shooting a lot of unmade beds; I am not entirely sure what that means or where it’s going, but the Muse hasn’t lead me (very far) astray yet, so I’ll continue to follow her.

Howard

Howard’s place isn’t looking so great.

But what this image made me start thinking about is how, when that metal building across the street from Howard’s starts to fall down, it won’t look nearly as interesting as this.

From the looks of things, it took that chair three years to move four feet to the left.

Toward the end, things were falling apart

This place is falling down, from the ground up.

And, to be honest, it’s also falling down from the roof down.
