Yes agreed. That tension by the way it what’s called positive tension. Nice picture from my hometown .. I have to go visit there now …

The positive tension was on my mind because I just got a small print of Arthur Meyerson’s great image “Motel, Austin 2013” which is a masterful example of warm and cool lighting. His work is almost enough to convert me from my usual b+w ways.

The Texas Photographic Society’s print program is very cool; this is the first year I’ve done it. They also do a members’ print exchange, where participants send in one of their prints and those prints get redistributed. I get very lucky the last time, and got a print from a very well-known Texas photographer. But on the other hand, someone got stuck with a print from me, a not well-known Texas photographer…
