Round/House
This trip was not intended to be a road trip, but that’s how it turned out. And then that’s how we happened to be in Hugo, which as it turns out is the home to only surviving brick roundhouse in all of Colorado. The roundhouse is so important that it has its own website.

So tell me, what is a Railroad Roundhouse?

Wikipedia explains it like this: A railway roundhouse is a building with a circular or semicircular shape used by railways for servicing and storing locomotives, and traditionally surrounds, or is adjacent to, a turntable. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_roundhouse)
They are a very creative solution to the difficulties of moving locomotives.
