Prior to 2009, people in Lubbock had to drive outside the city limits to buy booze. There were some big liquor stores out there, but now they’ve all closed (or moved into town), since we can buy our booze right in town like normal people. Some of those places have turned into other businesses now, but this one is still available, if you’re interested.
