Bratwurst (no longer available)

It seemed like a good weekend to get away from home, and we ended up in Abilene. It’s a good thing, I guess, that we didn’t want to have a nice meal of brats while we were there since this place was out of business.

Taking the low road

The glass in the door of this place was gone and someone had nailed up a piece of wood over the hole. Well, nearly over the hole: there was a bit of a gap at the bottom. A camera-sized gap. If you know what I’m getting at here.

(I thought the photo was going to be about those left-over cars, but now I am starting to think it’s really about that metal ceiling, hanging in tatters.)

Beyond this point

None. Not one drop. Don’t even think about it.

A little context

Here’s a little context for that image from yesterday. Because I thought you’d want to know.

Shiny, shiny trailer

I saw this out on the highway, at one of the the truck-and-trailer dealers, and went back out there the next day to get make photos. There was so much chrome! And it was so hard to stay out of the reflection!
