Acadian Superette

I had a work trip to New Orleans earlier this month, and stayed over for the weekend to visit Lafayette and some other areas in the Acadian parishes of the state; it’s for a project that I’m working on, which will begin to be revealed here on the blog one of these days.
But not yet.
I liked Lafayette, and am looking forward to getting back there to work on my project a little bit more.
And maybe when I’m back this place will be open. I rather like the looks of it.

An Unexplained Estrangement

Who knows why a few graves are set away from the main part of the cemetery, pushed to the corner like that?

The Gap
Where a building was, there’s now a parking lot filling in the gap.
We lived in New Orleans for a few years; when we first got there, someone gave us these directions: Go up Canal Street, and turn right where the bakery used to be.
Not helpful. Not one bit.

Message is the Mystery
Don’t you wish you knew what was on that piece of paper tucked into the shutters? And don’t you wonder if there’s someone looking out through the curtains, watching to see if you’ll give in to temptation?
And, also, don’t you wonder why I made this in color?
So many mysteries.
