I bought flowers for the Christmas-dinner table and they were lovely, as was the dinner and the time with family.
Then, of course, I waited for the flowers to start to wilt so I could start photographing them. This particular flower bloomed late and was in full glory almost a week and a half later…

it seemed fitting to be at a cemetery at sunset
Any time I’m close to the City of Lubbock Cemetery, I’ll stop by and check out what’s there. It might seem like a morbid habit. I mean, it might BE a morbid habit.
But still: that evening last month had a lovely cemetery-view of the sunset.

I was sort of at loose ends the other day. And I’d recently read a little bit about freelensing, so I decided to give it a try.
The thing is that just about forever I’ve been a document-it-the-way-it-really-looks kind of photographer. It’s the way I know to shoot, the way I’m comfortable working.
But this? This was a lot of fun. Mostly what I got were images that were definitely delete-able, but I enjoyed the effect of capturing a weird view of my living room.
