fashion + diana

You know how much I enjoy photographing shop windows with reflections that distort…everything. So, here’s a variation on that ongoing theme, and this one has a bonus of including the Fontana di Diana, which I didn’t even notice when I made the photo, as I was consumed with getting those mannequins lined up the way I wanted.

Just another Sicilian kitty, this one sitting outside amongst mossy rocks and taking a little bit of a bath during a light rain.

standing in awe

In the daytime, the church doors were kept closed, so it was a treat when I walked by one night and they were open. And it was a bigger treat that two people were standing there, taking in the majesty of the place.

curb snack

It was mid-afternoon on the first day of three days of celebrating Sant’Agata, the town’s patron. Thousands of people were out, following the procession as a way of marking their devotion. But sometime during the day, they were going to need a snack, just like this little head-to-toe pink little girl.

Bonus fact: you know those plants that are called “broom”? And see that broom there in the background? Guess what it’s made from. Yep: broom plants.
